If you are a songwriter, one of the best ways to grow is to be around other writers and learn from each other. You should find a songwriter association in your area. Here in the Twin Cities I am a member of the Minnesota Association of Songwriters. It is a great way to meet other writers and get out and perform your songs and get critiques.
You should google for associations in your area and if you are in MN, then check out the Minnesota Association of Songwriters.
